CAREERS DETAILS

Digital Marketing Specialist

Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and engagement. Analyze campaign performance.

SEC / 01 Overview

Job Description

The Digital Marketing Specialist tells the freight story to people who have been trained to expect opacity. Working part-time from San Francisco alongside commercial and operations teams, this role builds the demand engine — search, email, paid and content — that brings shippers to CargoHype and keeps them engaged between quotes.

Job responsibilities

  • Own the quarterly campaign calendar across search, paid, email and content.
  • Run SEO for the site — keyword mapping, on-page work and technical fixes.
  • Build nurture sequences that hold up in front of a sceptical freight buyer.
  • Manage paid budgets against cost per qualified lead, not impressions.
  • Write campaign copy in-house rather than waiting on an agency.
  • Report weekly on spend, pipeline influenced and attribution assumptions.
  • Keep every public claim traceable to a real operational number.
  • Partner with sales on messaging and objection handling for live deals.

Logistics buyers are sceptical for good reason. The work here is to be specific, verifiable and useful — and to let the operational numbers carry the argument.

Qualification

  • 3+ years in B2B digital marketing, ideally in logistics, supply chain or industrial services.
  • Hands-on with SEO tooling, marketing automation and paid platforms.
  • Comfortable reading an analytics funnel and defending an attribution model.
  • Strong writer — able to draft campaign copy without waiting on an agency.
  • Bonus: familiarity with freight terminology and Incoterms.

Duties

  • Deliver the quarterly campaign calendar and keep it on schedule.
  • Report weekly on spend, cost per qualified lead and pipeline influenced.
  • Maintain the content backlog and publish on cadence.
  • Partner with sales on messaging that survives first contact with a shipper.
  • Keep every public claim traceable to an operational source.

Conclusion

Freight marketing is won by whoever is willing to be concrete. If you would rather publish a real transit table than another stock photo of a container ship, we should talk.
